Jenni Scott
My name is Jenni Scott and I have been with Fresh Start since
September of 2007. I completed my undergraduate studies at the University
of Wisconsin-madison with a major in Psychology. These four years
of education led me to realize I was headed in the right direction.
I became fascinated in the mental health field and wished to continue
my education with a broad degree that would enable me to work with
a variety of populations. I decided to stay at UW-madison and went
on to receive my Master of Social Work degree.
While in graduate school I had the opportunity to work at two excellent
field placements under the supervision of very knowledgeable supervisors.
My first placement was at Mendota Juvenile Treatment Center where
I worked with emotionally disturbed adolescent males who were involved
with the Juvenile Correctional system. I gained experience co-facilitating
treatment groups and being part of a treatment team. My second field
placement was at the Serenity Residential Treatment Center. Here I
held the role of a Student Therapist and conducted individual, group,
and family therapy. I worked with a great group of girls who were
survivors of sexual and physical abuse. I learned more from these
young women than I ever expected to.
I am excited to begin my career as a Treatment Foster Care Worker,
and plan to have a special focus on the Therapeutic services I provide
as I am working toward my LCSW. In my free time I like to workout,
roller blade, ski, watch movies and spend time with family and friends.
