Areas of Specialty

The staff at Fresh Start has extensive training in sexual abuse, Reactive Attachment Disorder, Opposition Defiant Disorder, Conduct Disorder, ADHD and ADD. They are available to provide individual counseling to children, adolescents and families in our program. Our therapist and social workers specialize in dealing with needs and problems associated with being a child in foster care. The counselors help both the child and therapeutic foster family deal with problems of separation/loss, trauma related to past experiences of abuse and/or neglect, adjustment to foster care, interpersonal skill needs and skills needed for independence.
